The Thompson Rivers club is one of 4 Probus clubs in Kamloops, over 240 clubs in Canada, and more than 4,000 worldwide. Probus provides retired and semi-retired people with interesting guest speakers, a broad range of activities and social events, the chance to explore their community, fellowship, and fun.
Every club is autonomous, but all are non-political, non-sectarian, non-fundraising, and non-profit making.
For more information, go to the PROBUS Canada website.
We meet at 10:30 on the last Wednesday of every month except for July, August, and December, at the Japanese Cultural Centre, 160 Vernon Avenue. Guests are always welcome to attend our meetings, Applicants for membership in the Thompson Rivers Probus Club are sponsored by a current member of the club. The wait time to join once a sponsored application is received by the Membership Chairperson can be several years. Information on the other three Kamloops clubs can be found here.
